‘Day of the Dead’ Competition

When learning a language, it is equally important to learn the culture, last month Year 7 have had their first cultural topic of the year ‘Día de los muertos’. We learnt about the celebrations that take place on this day, the beliefs of others, the altars and the symbols. Pupils then wrote a short paragraph about an offering they would have for a lost loved one before going home to create some fantastic sugar skull designs for our competition, and the entries were amazing!
