Accessible Curriculum
At E-ACT Parkwood Academy, we nurture a culture of full inclusivity, supporting students with a wide range of needs. We have a particularly diverse learning community welcoming students of all abilities from many different backgrounds and cultures. Our students are encouraged and supported fully so that they leave ready to succeed in the challenging and competitive world around us.
Staff receive regular training in all areas of SEND so that they are able to adapt, scaffold and support all students effectively.
Effective assessment and provision for children with SEND or any other additional needs, will be secured in partnership with parent/carers, the young person, our academy network, the Local Authority, and any other appropriate external services. Working closely with a range of stakeholders, we support students, ensuring compliance with both the Equality Act 2010 and Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014.
