Drop down day 3 at E-Act Parkwood

Thursday we had our third personal development drop down day of this academic year.

We had HEPPsy come in to speak to our y11 pupils about what to expect if they chose to go to university. KS4 pupils had a double session learning about ‘County Lines’, Y9 pupils learnt about ‘freedom of speech, y8 pupils learnt about creating chemicals in the brain as well as the bus boycotts, student sit ins and freedom rides that occurred to challenge the lack of equality in past years, the Y7 pupils learnt about growth mindset, some of the protected characteristics and basic first aid! There was much more on offer during the day, but that was just a snippet of what went on!
